5 Reasons to Visit Su Casa Spa & Laser Hair Removal

Forget candy and flowers, one of the best ways to spoil us moms and moms-to-be is the gift of relaxation. And with the hustle and bustle of the holiday season now in full swing, a trip to the spa is the perfect place to hit pause and chill out.

From beauty addicts to the hard-core soccer mom, we could all use a little pampering now and then.

But let’s face it — most of us don’t want to venture far or spend a week’s worth of grocery money for just an hour or two of bliss.

For the ultimate spa experience here in ‘the Valley’ that won’t break the bank, look no further than Su Casa Spa & Laser Hair Removal.

Situated just off the main strip in Fort Langley, the full-service day spa is run by owner/operator Sandra Jimenez — a fellow Valley Mom who has transformed a detached part of her home into a warm, inviting and luxurious spa that rivals any commercial spa space South of the Fraser River.

And while the atmosphere is undeniably exquisite, that’s just scratching the surface. Here are 5 Reason to visit Su Casa this ‘Spaliday’ season or to treat that special lady on your list with a gift card.

1. A Truly Unique Spa Close to Home

Now I know what you’re probably thinking… a spa in someone’s home? Isn’t that going to be weird and uncomfortable?

Well trust me, you’ll feel as though you’re at a high-end boutique spa downtown.

Even though the building is on her property, it’s completely detached with a private entrance and is located directly across from the Langley Fine Arts Elementary School so parking is never an issue.

The decor is tasteful and modern with little touches of luxury at every corner like sparkling chandeliers and an elegant fireplace in the private spa room.

Sandra opened her first Mi Casa (My home) in her home over 18 years ago. As her business grew, the mom of two, originally from Colombia, expanded in to the commercial spa space (at the Fort Spa) on Glover Road.

Although successful, Sandra felt that the stress of running a larger business took away from the individualized attention she loved to give her clients.

Now she has come full circle and has once again opened her home, with a stunning new private spa called Su Casa (Your Home), where she wants each and every client to feel right at home.

“By making the decision to move to my more intimate location it has given my back the love and passion for what I do,” she said.

“Now all my clients can feel right at home while experiencing that personal attention they may have missed… now they can truly get spoiled and pampered.”

2. A Full Menu of Services that won’t break the Bank

Su Casa offers a private, romantic setting for couples’ massage, manicures, pedicures, microdermabrasion, facials and laser hair removal; all of the state of the art services you want, but in a more intimate setting.

Every month, there is a special promotion for an exceptional value of services at Su Casa Spa & Laser. Make sure to visit their Promos page for lots of upcoming specials on everything from manicures to pedicures to laser hair removal treatments.

 3. The Best Facial in Town

Last month, Sandra invited me to experience her signature Hydrating facial, promising it would be one of the best facials I’d ever have.

While it was a hefty claim, she certainly didn’t disappoint.

To date, my skin has never looked better — I’ve even been able to skip my daily foundation habit.

After melting into the heated spa bed, wearing nothing but my underclothes, heated booties and a sheet, Sandra explained the hydrating facial would help reduce wrinkles and slowdown the aging process leaving my skin with a healthy glow.

Let me tell you, after five years of sleep depravity and not the greatest eating and ‘drinking’ habits, I was feeling a little lackluster in the glow department. But not anymore…

The products used were from the Thalgo line — all marine-based and gentle, but active on your skin delivering great results.

And while high-quality effective products are important to a great facial, Sandra’s secret ingredient doesn’t come from any bottle.

“The secret to every service, including facials, is attention to detail, always being consistent and most of all having love for what you do,” she said.

After analyzing my skin and determining my skin type, Sandra did a double cleanse to prep my skin for the treatment.

Hot soothing towels were used to open my pores, followed by a gentle exfoliation, adding a low percentage of glycolic acid — “this is key to having healthy glowing skin,” Sandra explained.

While the next 60 minutes were a blissful blur, I do recall the most amazing face, neck, hand shoulder and décolleté massage, combined with acupressure and hot stone therapy — it’s a miracle I was able to stay awake.

There was also an add-on collagen eye treatment that made those under eye bags disappear. Once the treatment was over, I was invited to relax in the lounge and enjoy a cup of herbal tea.

4. Utmost Safety Standards

Sandra has also built a reputation on providing her clients with the utmost in cleanliness and safety.

Su Casa uses only sterilized, unopened packages for each and every client. She has also added new pedicure chairs with pipe free whirlpool jets that avoid contamination and are much easier to clean and sanitize than standard chairs. These chairs also come with a state-of-the-art shiatsu roller back massage system which provides several customizable functions for the ultimate relaxation experience. So rest assured that while you are at Su Casa you are in safe hands while being luxuriously pampered.
